Fantasy or self-help?

Last Saturday was the publishing seminar run by Stephanie Hale of Oxford Literacy Consultancy. It was a really good day – long and intense – but I came away with some new ideas for promoting Unravelling. I haven’t put any of them into practice yet! But lots of food for... read more

Feeding the Cat

The new Cinnamon Press anthology is out next month! The title story Feeding the Cat is one of mine! I didn’t choose it but I think the front cover is great. Have a look at Feeding the Cat. Love to know what you think.

Busy week

This looks set to be a busy week. As well as teaching and singing (the a cappella group I belong to is preparing for a big charity concert in Pershore in May) I’m going to London tomorrow for lunch at the Society of Authors. I was accepted as a member... read more

After a long period of absence and malfunction, my site has now been revamped, and I’m really pleased with it. The work was done by Daniel Hollands who I met when he was developing the website at South Worcestershire College. He has done a great job and been immensely patient... read more

Used to spending hours alone, creating, manipulating, exploring other worlds, do writers find it harder than other creative people... read more

I’m still getting good feedback on Unravelling (four 5-stars reviews on Amazon!) and sales continue, but not in the same numbers as just after it was published. I always knew this was going to be the difficult part and unfortunately there’s been a lull while moving has taken place. It’s... read more

Poor neglected blog!

Little did I think when I wrote my last post that I wouldn’t return for almost a month. The reason? A temporary move of home so that builders could start work on an extension and other upgrades to our house. Obviously I knew it would be hard work and time consuming,... read more
