Happy Birthday Unravelling!
Unravelling, my first novel, is six years old!
Since then Unravelling has done some wonderful things – lots of people have bought it; it’s garnered some lovely reviews; book groups have enjoyed it, and it’s been taken out of libraries. I’ve got no idea how many people have read it because so many people have told me that they passed it on to their sister, or auntie or granny.
And then there are the awards! It came second in the International Rubery Book Award. Here’s a photo of me with my elegant plaque (no sign of the rather nice cheque!):
It won the Chapter One Promotions Independent Book Award (gaining another nice cheque), and the Wishing Shelf Independent Book Award, adult fiction category. No cheque this time, but voted for by readers, which meant a lot.Thank you, Unravelling, for all the success and fun. How much richer my life has been because of you. Happy birthday!Tags: prizes, Unravelling
