Worcestershire Literary Festival
A busy time ahead! The first ever Worcestershire Literary Festival starts tomorrow. I’ll be at the local authors book fayre at Perdiswell House pub Worcester, where writers will be able to sell their books, and there will be all sorts of activities with the aim of raising money for the Noah’s Ark Trust for bereaved children and their families.
Also on Friday evening is the final for the Worcestershire poet laureate. An ex-student of mine, Amy Rainbow – an excellent writer – is one of the ten shortlisted poets and she will be taking part in the final at Worcester Cathedral. I’ve got friends coming for the weekend (after the book fayre) so am disappointed not to be able to go, but I wish Amy all the luck. She fully deserves her success.
Much more happening next weekend, but I’ll save that!
